Tim Guppy, Principal
Tim began his professional career with Pengillys in 1975, having realised that a career as a professional footballer no longer beckoned. He qualified as a solicitor in 1984.
An enthusiastic and meticulous litigator he was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2000. A member of various professional bodies including Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association). A committed accredited Resolution Collaborative specialist recently assisting in the creation of the North & West Dorset Group. A member of the Law Society's Family Law Accreditation Scheme. Although Tim concentrates on family work, particularly finances, through his expertise as a DDJ he is currently also accepting the role of supervising the firm's Litigation Department.
Tim is a past President of the Dorset Law Society and a former longstanding Committee member.
Tim remains a keen sportsman, still regularly attempting to play football. He recently achieved a FA Level II Coaching qualification. He is a member of Dorchester Town Tennis Club. A qualified Day Skipper (although his wife's preference for sailing is in the warmer climes of the Mediterranean). A keen walker, having recently completed the West Highland Way, the Liberty Trail and the Jubilee Trail. Tim is optimistically looking for better things in the 2010/2011 season from his beloved West Ham.
