Profile

Tim is a Consultant Solicitor and has been with the firm for more than forty years.  Tim has a reputation for a robust but sensible approach to settlement.  He is a conscientious Practitioner always seeking to resolve matters without final reference to the Court but, as necessary, using the full range of the Court’s powers to achieve the appropriate settlement but otherwise engaging in all forms of alternate dispute resolution, mediation, arbitration, collaborative practice.

Tim was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2000.  He is a member of Resolution and an Accredited Collaborative specialist helping to lead the North and West Dorset Group.

Tim’s main area of work is family finance.  He does undertake some private Children Act work, inheritance disputes, TOLATA and other issues arising between cohabiting couples and civil disputes.

He remains a keen sportsman but these days largely from the terraces.  He is an enthusiastic member of Dorchester Town Tennis Club and a season ticket holder at Bath Rugby.  He is hoping for much improved fortunes from his beloved West Ham United FC.

Otherwise Tim likes to spend time with his family and friends, always listening to an eclectic choice of music with a glass of red.
