Family Law is an increasingly complex area, requiring a demanding set of skills. Pengillys believe that our team offer an experienced and intelligent analysis of the relevant circumstances together with a sensitive and authoritative approach to guide our clients to obtain the best possible outcome through this difficult time.
Members of our Family Team belong to Resolution (a national organisation of Family Lawyers committed to non-confrontational resolution of family problems). We are also committed to the Family Law Protocol. Our Senior Principal and the Head of our Family Department sits as a Deputy District Judge on family matters.
We believe that the depth of our Team offers unrivalled experience in the wide locality.
We are committed to dealing with many aspects of family law in a sensitive, constructive and cost-effective manner. Unless it is contrary to our clients' interests we endeavour to observe the Law Society's Family Law Protocol which has been introduced by the Law Society, Resolution (the Solicitors Family Law Association), the Department of Constitutional Affairs and the Legal Services Commission.
The Protocol is intended to:-
- Encourage a constructive and conciliatory approach to the resolution of family disputes.
- Encourage a narrowing of the issues in dispute and the effective and timely resolution of disputes.
- Endeavour to minimise the risk to the parties and/or the children with particular emphasis on the interests of the children and long term family relationships.
- Endeavour to ensure that costs are not unreasonably incurred.
There are many considerations when dealing with relationship and family problems, particularly where children are involved. We will help you to decide the best way forward.
Pengillys are pleased to be able to offer a fixed fee of £985 for an undefended divorce. Please click here for further details.
