The Protocol is intended to:-

• Encourage a constructive and conciliatory approach to the resolution of family disputes.
• Encourage a narrowing of the issues in dispute and the effective and timely resolution of disputes.
• Endeavour to minimise the risk to the parties and/or the children with particular emphasis on the interests of the children and long term family relationships.
• Endeavour to ensure that costs are not unreasonably incurred.

There are many considerations when dealing with relationship and family problems, particularly where children are involved. We will help you to decide the best way forward.
