John qualified in 1991, joined Pengillys in 1997 and became a Partner in November 2001. He is experienced in a number of legal fields but for some years now has specialised in Family law. He also undertakes some Civil Litigation. John is a member of the Law Society's Children Panel, The Law Society's Family Law Panel and Resolution, formerly The Solicitors Family Law Association.

He has a range of interests outside work. He is a School Governor and a member of the Lawyer's Christian Fellowship.

John is also a committed accredited collaborative practitioner.

Work areas:
Family law, including divorce, separation, domestic violence, access and custody, living together agreements, pre-nuptial agreements and equitable co-ownership.
