Sophie joined Pengillys in July 2026, having been awarded a Training Contract with the firm.
Before joining Pengillys, Sophie gained over two years’ experience at a regional law firm, progressing from Business Support Assistant to Paralegal. This journey gave her a strong foundation in legal practice and client care, allowing her to develop a practical, client focused approach from the outset of her career.
Sophie completed her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Cardiff University before going on to achieve a Masters of Law in Professional Legal Practice (LPC LLM) at The University of Law. She is currently undertaking a seat in the Family and Litigation department, assisting clients with a wide range of matters and supporting them through what can often be challenging and emotional circumstances.
Sophie is committed to providing a friendly and approachable service and understands that seeking legal advice can often feel daunting. She aims to ensure that clients feel understood, informed and supported through the legal process while continuing to develop her knowledge and experience.
Sophie is supervised by John Walkington, Solicitor and Senior Principal.
